Rakul Preet Singh made her acting debut in the Kannada film Gilli in 2009. She then made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the film Keratam in 2011. She gained widespread recognition with the Telugu film Venkatadri Express in 2013. Since then, she has acted in several Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, including Spyder, Dev, De De Pyaar De, Marjaavaan, and Attack.
